365: Day 89- Bday Party at the Zoo

3/30/13: Saturday was a gorgeous day to attend a party at the zoo. Our neighbor friend, Josef, is turning 5 this week! It turns out that he and I share the same birthday on April Fool's Day!

The kids got to meet a couple of snakes at the party. They could even touch it if they so desired! Zoe went for it, but Silas passed.

The kids ran around outside and everyone had a great time!

Silas' Blog

Well it's been a busy 3 years since I last posted! Stay tuned as we may have more posts coming now that it looks like I have a new contributor... Silas recently read a book called "Starting Your Own Blog", and now he is bound and determined for us to let him start his own blog! We convinced him that he should start out by drafting content and a posting calendar. We made templates this morning and he wrote his first "post" today!

Summer Nights

As we hit the end of July we are relishing the relaxed summer nights around here. Walks to the corner store after work- Kitten snoozes in the window- Playing outside after dinner- And after dinner bike rides in the park aplenty. The best part is when they ride down the "big hill" out of the woods and we make the loop home. These are the days.

The context for this post is that S&Z started two weeks of daily swimming lessons in the outdoor town pool on Monday. The beginning of this week also happened to start with two of the coldest days of the summer!
