365: Day 303- Happy Halloween!

10/31/13: I had a late meeting on Thursday so Julia took the kids out trick-or-treating before it got too dark. I met up with them in the neighborhood on my way home from work. They ripped off their costumes and counted their loot as soon as we got home. They wanted to take a picture with their jack-o-lanterns before bed - here's what I got: HAPPY HALLOWEEN, 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

365: Day 302

10/30/13: On Wednesday the kids had a Halloween party at preschool. They decided to wear their costumes from  last year  - here is our cute little butterfly! Miss Ellen sent along the class photo after the party. Sooooo cute!!!

365: Day 291

10/19/13: After a busy morning the kids and I enjoyed a mellow afternoon and evening at home. Zoe was cute and sleepy after she got up from her nap, whereas Mr. No Napper was busy doing art projects in the new craft corner. Zoe drew a picture of Daddy this week and then WROTE 'daddy' on the picture when Derek told her how to spell it. We made flatbread pizzas for dinner and enjoyed a Halloween-themed table setting! I LOVE this time of year!

365: Day 285- Bog Hollow Farm

We headed back to Bog Hollow Farm in Kingston last weekend for the annual Columbus Day pumpkin festival. This is the 2nd year that my mom has been able to join us! We also met up with Derek's cousin Joyce and her family. The kids were so happy to be able to play with Emily. It was a beautiful fall morning to run around outside! There was a new maze and slide to check out, And some old favorites like riding the Pumpkin Express, and running and bouncing down the hill. And of course, lots of PUMPKINS!! I love these fun fall traditions!  Check out pictures from 2011 , and 2012 by clicking the links!

366: Day 305

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

366: Day 304

10/30/12: I caught the kids as they were walking out the door for the first time since the storm passed through yesterday. It was just starting to rain again and there were lots of leaves and some debris in front of the house. It was a Halloween party at school today so they got to wear their costumes again. We sure have gotten our money out of the costumes this year!

366: Day 300

10/26/12: Watching a field hockey game as we left the parking ramp on our way to the LCN Halloween party.

2nd Annual Halloween Party

Today was the 2nd Annual LCN/Developmental Medicine Halloween Party (check out pictures from last year's party here ). Unfortunately S&Z both caught my cold this week, so they were not feeling like their usual perky selves when we woke them up from their naps in order to head over to the party. They rallied once we got there, however. Nora made the AWESOME Halloween cake! There were 4 sets of twins in attendance this year, below are Tibor and Max (age 3) who also came to the party last year. Thatcher was the Fire Chief, and big brother Oliver was a firefighter. What a difference a year makes when it came to the "trick-or-treating" aspect of the party! We bought a pumpkin this morning, so we'll continue the Halloween festivities this weekend with a pumpking carving! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

366: Day 288

10/14/12: Chef Silas and Zoe the Butterfly had an awesome time at Sydney & Ivy's Halloween party yesterday!

366: Day 284

10/10/12: Pumpkins!

366, Day 281

10/7/12: Love them to pieces!!!

Bog Hollow Farm

We went back to Bog Hollow Farm in Kingston today for the  Annual Pumpkin Patch Weekend . The weather was cooler this year but it didn't rain so we were all happy. My mom arrived in Boston last night so it was a fun outing for her first day here. First we had to check out the tractors, And then we were ready to take a hay ride out to the "pumpkin patch". There was so much to do in the pumpkin patch! There were tunnels through hay, A train to ride, Heights to be measured, Animals to see, A mattress slide to jump down, And of course, pumpkins to pick! It was getting to be time for lunch so we paid for our pumpkins and headed back for hot dogs. What a fun, fall day!!
