The Zoe and Silas Show

2/12/14: Julia has been taking the kids to the library at least one afternoon per week. She sends me pictures which make me so happy! Derek was off tonight. When I got home we played our first ever family game of Uno! The kids were totally into it - as were we!

12/28/13: The new fishing game takes serious concentration!

10/15/13: Playing the dinosaur memory game with Grandma. Zoe loves this game and is apparently quite good at it! She and Grandma played countless rounds during Grandma's visit. On the morning that Grandma was leaving, Zoe looked at me very seriously and said, "but who will play the matching game with me?".

1/2/13: Dinosaur-themed memory! She talks about Auntie Kristin every time we play it :)

Auntie Vanessa gave S&Z their first board game awhile back. It's called "Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel". We played it for the first time during the recent storm. We had so much fun! I love games and think that they are great for kids, because they teach about concepts like taking turns, following rules, and winning/losing graciously.  As far as I know, Derek has played the game with them only one other time since then. Tonight I was cleaning up before bed and caught wind that they were playing the game - by themselves! Now that is a beautiful thing.
