366: Day 304

10/30/12: I caught the kids as they were walking out the door for the first time since the storm passed through yesterday. It was just starting to rain again and there were lots of leaves and some debris in front of the house. It was a Halloween party at school today so they got to wear their costumes again. We sure have gotten our money out of the costumes this year!

Our Silly Monkeys

This is what mornings look like at our house...

First Assignment Sheets

The kids are absolutely loving preschool. They talk a lot about their teachers and their Tuesday movement class. They have started talking more about the kids they are becoming friends with. They are little sponges and spout off new phrases, words, and songs. It is so fun to see them learning so much! I about died , however, when I came home a few weeks ago and saw their first assignment sheets . Whoa.

366: Day 303

10/29/12: Where is Hurricane Sandy?

The Calm Before the Storm

Our landlord mowed the lawn one last time this weekend and Derek asked him to make a big leaf pile in the middle of the yard. We had a playdate with our friends Josie and Theo, so we took the kids outside to play in the leaves before lunch. They were tired and wet kids when it was time to come inside :)

366: Day 302

10/28/12: Hurricane schmricane!

366: Day 301

10/27/12: Pretending to make a campfire and roast hot dogs while exploring the woods at the Arboretum today.

It's a Beautiful Day

There is a lot of fall color right now in Massachusetts and the weather is gorgeous so we headed to the Arboretum this morning. There was a lot of running, And showing, But mostly there was meandering. All that exploring sure can make little legs tired! It's a beautiful day, Don't let it get away, It's a beautiful day.

366: Day 300

10/26/12: Watching a field hockey game as we left the parking ramp on our way to the LCN Halloween party.

2nd Annual Halloween Party

Today was the 2nd Annual LCN/Developmental Medicine Halloween Party (check out pictures from last year's party here ). Unfortunately S&Z both caught my cold this week, so they were not feeling like their usual perky selves when we woke them up from their naps in order to head over to the party. They rallied once we got there, however. Nora made the AWESOME Halloween cake! There were 4 sets of twins in attendance this year, below are Tibor and Max (age 3) who also came to the party last year. Thatcher was the Fire Chief, and big brother Oliver was a firefighter. What a difference a year makes when it came to the "trick-or-treating" aspect of the party! We bought a pumpkin this morning, so we'll continue the Halloween festivities this weekend with a pumpking carving! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
