365: Day 67- March Storm

3/8/13: We got nearly 15" of snow dumped yesterday from the latest New England storm. Derek had to shovel before work so I took the kids out to "play" while it was still snowing.

They did NOT like the wind and the snow. I told them to toughen up and we headed to the backyard, where they quickly sought refuge in the little playhouse.

We probably lasted 30 total minutes outside. By late afternoon the storm had ended and things were already starting to melt.

Silas' Blog

Well it's been a busy 3 years since I last posted! Stay tuned as we may have more posts coming now that it looks like I have a new contributor... Silas recently read a book called "Starting Your Own Blog", and now he is bound and determined for us to let him start his own blog! We convinced him that he should start out by drafting content and a posting calendar. We made templates this morning and he wrote his first "post" today!

Summer Nights

As we hit the end of July we are relishing the relaxed summer nights around here. Walks to the corner store after work- Kitten snoozes in the window- Playing outside after dinner- And after dinner bike rides in the park aplenty. The best part is when they ride down the "big hill" out of the woods and we make the loop home. These are the days.

The context for this post is that S&Z started two weeks of daily swimming lessons in the outdoor town pool on Monday. The beginning of this week also happened to start with two of the coldest days of the summer!
