We don't have a lot of options for the crib configuration in the kids' room. The way things are set up now the cribs are touching. This has caused a lot more hijinx at naptime and bedtime than when we had the cribs a foot apart. But, the current setup does let S&Z hold hands when they fall asleep at night. I was telling a twin mom friend about this today, and she told me to be sure to get a picture. Her kids used to play footsie at naptime and she regretted never getting a picture. I didn't get a picture, but I did get a quick video where you can see the setup at bedtime...
Today I went to a yoga class for the first time in far too many years. It felt wonderful and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I can't wait to go back! Today Derek gave Silas his traditional mid-summer haircut. Today the weather was perfect and we enjoyed bike rides (them) / a walk (me) in the park after lunch. Today Zoe chased the cats until they succumbed to her love and adoration. Today I put the garbage on the curb for weekly pickup and realized that we didn't have any! We recycle and compost far more than we throw away. I am grateful to be able to teach Zoe & Silas these habits.
