365: Day 256- End of Summer

9/14/13: We canceled our camping trip for this weekend due to Silas having a hacking cough, along with pretty cool overnight temps in the forecast. We still wanted to do something fun so instead we headed up to Gloucester today. Lobster for lunch sounded good so we decided to try a restaurant based on some Chowhound recommendations called The Causeway.


The food, both boiled and fried, was super delicious - we will definitely be back next summer! After lunch we went to hike some of it off at Halibut Point State Park, We visited this park for the first time at the start of the summer. It is beautiful here and we all love this place.


The best part is climbing the rocks.


We got some cute pictures of each other, they even took some of us!


The sun eventually came out too.


It is such a special place, and it was a great way to spend one of the last weekends of this summer!

Parks

We decided to get Zoe's haircut on Saturday morning at a place geared towards kids called Snip-Its . Neither Derek nor I anticipated what a meltdown Zoe was going to have. The haircut is half-assed at best and Derek will have to fix it when she's more calm. We were so traumatized that we headed to the park to get the day going on a better foot! We went back to Larz Anderson, the park where the  Psychiatry picnic was held on Thursday . It is really close to our house and is lovely and shaded. I think it's one of my new favorite spots! The kids like it too :) S&Z love playing with wood chips, so there was a lot of that! Snacks were enjoyed on the bench and I tried to get a few pictures of the haircut... The Best of Project 366

2012 is coming to a close and I have officially completed Project 366 ! I managed to take and post and keep track of 365 photos out of 366 total days this year. I only missed one day and it was for a pretty good cause . Believe me, these pictures don't take themselves. I shot just under 7000 pictures this year. Once I got an iPhone in March all of the pictures were taken with my phone (~ 5500 pictures!). The camera on the iPhone is really good, I always have it with me, and I like playing around with the filters and other editing tools available in photography apps like Instagram, Camera+, Diptic, and Gridditor. Since I have put so much time, love and energy into Project 366 I thought I should select a few "Best Of's". I had a great time putting this together, and I hope you enjoy these highlights as well!
