We had a BIG day today celebrating Zoe and Silas' 2nd birthday. I've got so many pictures (I took 100+ today) that I decided to tell about it in three separate blog entries.
Derek got sent out to the field on a midnight truck last night, so it was just me & the kids for the first part of the morning. We made a great breakfast of scrambled eggs and waffles. Of course, both of them wanted to "help"!
My parents bought us a family membership to the Boston Children's Museum for the kids' birthday, so we headed there to spend a fun birthday morning.

When Derek got home from work we opened a couple of presents. When Auntie Kristin visited us this summer from Wisconsin, she noticed that Silas was very curious about the magnifying properties of the wine glass she was drinking from. Inspired by his curiosity, she decided to give us these awesome magnifying glasses made by Melissa & Doug!!! The kids LOVE them!
Derek & I got them sock monkeys as part of their gift. They're really cute & soft!
Act II to follow...
