365: Day 212- Minnesota Zoo

7/31/14: On Thursday we met up with my Dad & Mary at the Minnesota Zoo. The weather was great and there were so many fun things to see before we even got through the front gate!


The penguins were awesome - very social and fun to watch.


We also spent some time playing at a dinosaur dig.


It was pretty warm out so we took a lunch break in Dad & Mary's minivan.


After lunch we spent some time indoors at the marine life touch tanks.


For dinner we headed over to Auntie Sally & Uncle John's house. S&Z had fun playing with their cousins Duffy, Wyatt & Lucy before dinner.


I didn't get nearly as many pictures as I would have liked, but I did manage to get a picture of me, Stephanie, and our cousin Sukoshi.

Parks

We decided to get Zoe's haircut on Saturday morning at a place geared towards kids called Snip-Its . Neither Derek nor I anticipated what a meltdown Zoe was going to have. The haircut is half-assed at best and Derek will have to fix it when she's more calm. We were so traumatized that we headed to the park to get the day going on a better foot! We went back to Larz Anderson, the park where the  Psychiatry picnic was held on Thursday . It is really close to our house and is lovely and shaded. I think it's one of my new favorite spots! The kids like it too :) S&Z love playing with wood chips, so there was a lot of that! Snacks were enjoyed on the bench and I tried to get a few pictures of the haircut... The Best of Project 366

2012 is coming to a close and I have officially completed Project 366 ! I managed to take and post and keep track of 365 photos out of 366 total days this year. I only missed one day and it was for a pretty good cause . Believe me, these pictures don't take themselves. I shot just under 7000 pictures this year. Once I got an iPhone in March all of the pictures were taken with my phone (~ 5500 pictures!). The camera on the iPhone is really good, I always have it with me, and I like playing around with the filters and other editing tools available in photography apps like Instagram, Camera+, Diptic, and Gridditor. Since I have put so much time, love and energy into Project 366 I thought I should select a few "Best Of's". I had a great time putting this together, and I hope you enjoy these highlights as well!
