365: Day 44

2/13/14: Another day, another snowstorm.


I am beyond over it (as is everyone else I know).

Zoe and Silas have only one more swimming lesson in this session, which is 7 weeks long. They are in the 'Pike' class, and today Zoe was promoted to 'Eel'! She is down to half the "bubbles" (flotation) from where she started, she swam the entire length of the pool, and she was the only kid in the class to jump into the pool from the platform! Way to go, Zoe!


When I got home from work tonight I was soaking wet and super cranky. Thankfully S&Z played really nicely right up until bath time. They are working on the letter 'P' at school this week, so Silas brought a penguin and Zoe brought a platypus to school yesterday.


They also played with the magnetic dress-up dolls. I've never seen them be so imaginative with this particular toy!


I'm excited for Silas' VIP storytime tomorrow!

Well it's been a busy 3 years since I last posted! Stay tuned as we may have more posts coming now that it looks like I have a new contributor... Silas recently read a book called "Starting Your Own Blog", and now he is bound and determined for us to let him start his own blog! Parks

We decided to get Zoe's haircut on Saturday morning at a place geared towards kids called Snip-Its . Neither Derek nor I anticipated what a meltdown Zoe was going to have. The haircut is half-assed at best and Derek will have to fix it when she's more calm. We were so traumatized that we headed to the park to get the day going on a better foot! We went back to Larz Anderson, the park where the  Psychiatry picnic was held on Thursday . It is really close to our house and is lovely and shaded. I think it's one of my new favorite spots! The kids like it too :) S&Z love playing with wood chips, so there was a lot of that! Snacks were enjoyed on the bench and I tried to get a few pictures of the haircut... Excuse me, I'm chewing pretzels :) This morning we met up with Wendy, Dave, Sydney & Ivy at the Newton Center Playground. It was HOT HOT HOT, and there wasn't too much shade. The Best of Project 366

2012 is coming to a close and I have officially completed Project 366 ! I managed to take and post and keep track of 365 photos out of 366 total days this year. I only missed one day and it was for a pretty good cause . Believe me, these pictures don't take themselves. I shot just under 7000 pictures this year. Once I got an iPhone in March all of the pictures were taken with my phone (~ 5500 pictures!). The camera on the iPhone is really good, I always have it with me, and I like playing around with the filters and other editing tools available in photography apps like Instagram, Camera+, Diptic, and Gridditor. Since I have put so much time, love and energy into Project 366 I thought I should select a few "Best Of's". I had a great time putting this together, and I hope you enjoy these highlights as well!
