365: Day 312

11/9/13: We had a fun afternoon having Oliver & Thatcher over to play on Saturday. Auntie Vanessa had some painting to do so we were happy to help out and entertain the boys for a few hours! Even 4-year-olds enjoy candlelight dinners! After dinner I got them hunkered down with a movie and popcorn. A good time was had by all!

Knitting Pix

Now that the weather is getting colder my friends have sent me a few pictures of their babies with the knitted goods I've made for them. Matilde wearing her "favorite hat" Hugh, in the only "swaddle" he will tolerate these days. Dad is a HUGE U of Michigan fan so it's not surprising he will only sleep with his maize & blue blanket :) Hugh and Carter These handsome guys were born on the same day! "Uh-oh, my Seminoles hat is too small now!", says Carson Love love love seeing all of these adorable babies with things that I've put my heart into crafting for them...

365: Day 311- Craft Corner

11/8/13: Many a wonderful creations are made in S&Z's craft corner these days. Oftentimes they will make a project together - it is just awesome to watch the process.  Silas in particular is showing more and more of a creative spirit recently. He spends A LOT of time here by himself while Zoe plays with other toys.  His "projects" are often so elaborate that they are worked on over a span of several sessions. I am so excited to go Christmas shopping for new art supplies for them! 4-year-old crafting happens at an entirely different level... This is our fridge - I swap out the pictures regularly. Seeing it everyday makes me so happy! I am certain it's one of the things I will miss the most someday.  *Sniff sniff*.

365: Day 310

11/7/13: I love non-school days because things are a bit more relaxed after breakfast. S&Z were busy playing with blocks as I was leaving for work on Thursday morning.

365: Day 309

11/6/13: Leap frog! We had a great time having a birthday FaceTime call with my mom when I got home from work on Wednesday. Happy Birthday, Grandma!!!!!!!

365: Day 308

11/5/13: Silly Zoe.

365: Day 307

11/4/13: Derek was mandated to work the overnight shift on Sunday night, which means that after working his usual 3:30-11:30pm shift he was forced to stay and work 11:30pm-7:30am due to staffing issues. He was relieved around 6am, and we he got home I suggested that I do school drop-off and he go to sleep until 12:30 pick-up.  It was a cold morning so the kids and I were scrambling to find hats & gloves before we left for school!
