9/25/12: Not a good night. The kids were running around after I got home from work and Zoe ended up taking a bad tumble. She landed on her face and actually knocked her front tooth hard enough that it moved inward. Thank god Derek was home with me when it happened. She was clearly in a lot of pain, but strangely it only bled a little bit along the gumline. The tooth was still secure at the root after she fell, it's just a little crooked now :( Her gums are also pretty bruised from the impact. I called my dentist the next morning to find out if there was anything they could do. The dentist said to keep an eye on the tooth to make sure it doesn't start to discolor (a sign of a dead tooth), and to also make sure the pain doesn't persist past a few days (a sign of root problems). He said if it was his child he would try not to worry (easier said than done) and just keep an eye on things. She's been in a lot of pain since yesterday morning which is not helping ...
