365: Day 62- Sunday Supper

We had a fun and busy Sunday. This morning we headed to Josie & Theo's house for a playdate. As things wound down Tim read the kids a story.

And when it was time to leave S&Z staged a sit-in.

We headed home for a much-needed nap, and then my co-worker Lina came over for dinner. The 4 of us made soup; I think it was probably Lina's first time cooking with two small children "helping". She was so nice to offer to take a few pictures :)

While the soup simmered the kids convinced her to play ball.

I love Sunday night supper. It's an excuse to set an extra pretty table and eat great food together. Derek often works so I've started inviting friends over to join us. Last week Rhiannon came over for Moroccan Chickpea Soup and leftover birthday cake. Tonight Lina and I made Chicken Barley Soup. Eating a nice dinner with friends also helps me reinforce good table manners with the kids.

Silas' Blog

Well it's been a busy 3 years since I last posted! Stay tuned as we may have more posts coming now that it looks like I have a new contributor... Silas recently read a book called "Starting Your Own Blog", and now he is bound and determined for us to let him start his own blog! We convinced him that he should start out by drafting content and a posting calendar. We made templates this morning and he wrote his first "post" today!

The Best of Project 366

2012 is coming to a close and I have officially completed Project 366 ! I managed to take and post and keep track of 365 photos out of 366 total days this year. I only missed one day and it was for a pretty good cause . Believe me, these pictures don't take themselves. I shot just under 7000 pictures this year. Once I got an iPhone in March all of the pictures were taken with my phone (~ 5500 pictures!). The camera on the iPhone is really good, I always have it with me, and I like playing around with the filters and other editing tools available in photography apps like Instagram, Camera+, Diptic, and Gridditor. Since I have put so much time, love and energy into Project 366 I thought I should select a few "Best Of's". I had a great time putting this together, and I hope you enjoy these highlights as well! The Blog Book is Here!!!

My friend, Tom, told me about a website where you can order a bound copy of your blog. I've had it on my radar for awhile, but I finally just got around to making a book of the first year of entries. It starts with 'Icing on the Cake' , the last entry before they were born, and it ends with Halloween . It turned out better than I could have imagined! I cried when I opened it... One hundred ninety-four pages of love, photos, stories, and milestones!
